English follows.

Hello everyone.

The BMW Club of Quebec organizes a track day at Sanair on the tri-oval on Saturday July 22nd. There will be three groups. One with instructors and two for solo drivers. Members of the BMW Club who have driven this track solo in the Advanced group can drive solo at this event. Other drivers with an FSAQ Solo Sprint licence, who are member of a club affiliated to FSAQ (TLC, CADL, Delta) are also welcome. This track day will allow them to practice and learn in order to better compete during the July 30th FSAQ Solo competition. Nonetheless, for safety reasons, if we find any solo drivers not safe for himself or others, he will be invited to join the group with instructors.

We will use the same configuration as the one used at SprinFling, a few weeks ago. There will be no chicane in corner 5.

Be prepared
You should not party too much the night before the event as you need all your concentration and "mojo" (or stamina) on Saturday. Have a good night sleep. You might have to wake up at 5am. All events take place wether it rains or shines.

How to get there
Sanair, located in St-Pie, can be accessed from highway 20 at exit 123 then South. Or from highway 10 at exit 55, where Petro-Canada can supply 94 octane fuel and Tim Hortons warm coffee. Expect a one hour drive from Montreal.

When to get there
Gates open at 7am. Please do not be there later than 7h15.
Entry to the tri-oval will be from the underpass under the banking. You can access it from the main road. You will be asked to sign one track waiver and one club waiver.

What to do when I reach the track
Find a spot to park and register immediately. You will get an enveloppe with a wristband, a schedule, evaluations and pre-cut vinyl numbers to be placed on the upper passenger side of the windshield. Your instructor will have the car with a similar number, but starting with an "i".
Prepare your car (empty it, clean the windshield, check oil level, torque wheels, check tire pressure) and present it for the final tech inspection.
When you are done with tech, then have a chat with your instructor.
Attend the drivers' meeting and the flags reminder.

Do not forget to dress appropriately: cotton pants and long sleeve shirt, or a T-shirt if it is too hot. No nylon please. It will be an extremely hot day, so, proper hydration is required to keep all your brains. We will supply some refreshments but bring some extra water too. There will be two fridges to keep refreshments... fresh.

Track starts at 9am with the instructor group and stops at 5pm, including a lunch break from 12 to 1pm.
