View Full Version : Thanks for making SANAIR a huge success!
Hi everyone,
I just got back home from our "Spring Fling" advanced driving day at Sanair. The day was beautiful: sunny but not too hot. We had an excellent turnout among vintage racers, instructors, and advanced students. It was a very safe event and no cars were bent. The only "incidents" were a couple of minor spins. A handful of cars did suffer some mechanical trouble...but part of the reason why we do these events early in the season is to shake down the cars.
Anyway, I just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to all the drivers for keeping it safe and especially to all the volunteers who put in a great effort to keep the event running smoothly. I hope we can do this again soon.

By the way...
You may have noticed the professional photography team who were busy snapping pics of all the action on the track, in the pits, and of the show-n-shine. These guys gave up a high-profile gig at a major impoort car show just to be there with us.
Let's show our support. If you've ever wanted high quality, hi-res, digital pics of your ride...now's your chance! The photographer, Benoit (Mox), will sell you a CD-ROM containing pics of your car for only $20 CDN. This is a real bargain, folks.
If you'd like to buy some pics of your car, please contact Benoit at mox@mox.ca right away. Make sure to include your car number. If you like, you can also order individual prints in various sizes...but the CD-ROM's are a better deal.

Just want to let you know that we did a total of 1469 photos (Some of them are not good but most of them are magazine quality)
Right now I'm sorting everything and before the end of the week I will post some of them on the Photo Gallery
There will be at least one picture of every cars but I can't put all the 1469 photos on the Gallery.
I also want to thank everyone for their help and feedbacks especially Emre for the ride in the Evo

On behalf of all the visitors, I'd like to thank the BWM Club of Quebec for inviting us "newbies" to the track. It was an incredible experience being able to be part of the action. I'd also like to thank all the visitors who took the time to organize driving groups and came for the show&shine part of the event.
Thanks to everyone who came and contributed! Let's try to make this a yearly event!
Antoine
This year's SpringFling was the 2nd edition, and everything points out to a similar event next year. We will be able to host more visitors' cars and Sanair's trioval track proved to be a very entertaining motorsport complex with ample room for even more cars.

Sorry for reviving an old thread.. Just thought some of you might want to see some more pictures.. I've finally uploaded the pictures.. I was quite busy during the day so I took most of my pictures at the very end of the day. I did manage to get a few good shots of Lee's beautiful '02.
