There is a seller on Ebay offering a set of 4 new TSW Hockenheim wheels 16 x 9
for the E24/E28 cars, complete with hubcentric rings, mounting studs and center caps with BMW roundel for US $299.00 shipping included to any USA address. This sounds like a good deal, but they seem kind of wide for a 225/50/16 tire (probably requires a 245/50/16 rubber donut).

Has anyone had any experience with this brand of wheel?

And the TSW's are good looking wheels.

You'll be able to use 245 or 255 width tires. I think that might involve some fender rolling on the M6. Karin's E28 is lowered with H&R + Koni suspension and her 16x7 inch Momos with 225 width rubber barely fits. Maybe if you're running a stock ride-height you won't run into trouble. Lee might know more about this.

Has anyone had any experience with this brand of wheel? They're a bit heavy for the size. IIRC, the 15x7 inchers used on E30's are around 19 lbs each.

My e30 M3 has 16 x 8.5 Ronal wheels mounted with 225.45.16 rubber. It doesn't seem to be stretched out. The TSW wheels are known to be good wheels, but perhaps on the soft side. But they would be perfect to mount track tires. perhaps something like 235 or 245.45.16

The e24 chassis has way more room under the fenders than the e28, but as with every car, proper offset is paramount. They shoulb be around ET10 or 15 as they are quite wide. At that price it is a good deal if they are round. If you want to test, I have a 16 x 8,5 with ET 10 you can borrow.

I am already using Ronal 16 x 8.5s also on my M6 (225/50/16). I don't have clearance problems, but the tires seem to look quite stretched already (although this may possibly enhance steering response).

The offset on those TSWs are ET 10 by the way.
