How can we make a "sticky" post with the list of events in our calendar? That "sticky" could be in the Driving forum.

Yup. Springs is already here.I spent 2 hours shovelling my parking space in my backyard, cleaning it up to the asphalt. The sun melted whatever snow was remaining and it looked just like Spring. Hey Emre, too bad you are in Boston, I have the munchies for some "Just Noodles" on St-Laurent.

BTW The meeting with Fédération Auto Québec and CADL that was scheduled on Friday never happened. One of the guys from FAQ could not make it, and Cherif could not go either.

Sorry everyone, SummerDrift III is going to be on Saturday, June 10th, not June 11th. I figure most people prefer Saturdays for one-day events, in order to have Sundays to rest.
But when I booked Mecaglisse for June 11th - I was looking at a 2005 calendar - Sorry! :o

ah crap!

won't be able to make it on June 10th... :( I have a "ten years since we finished high school" reunion scheduled. I don't think it will be possible to attend the two events in the same day.

I'll be thinking about you though ;)

I had requests from people wanting to know when registration will start for that event. Can you give us details? Will there be an early bird rate?

Emre

I think the plan was to open registration on Monday March 13th. There should be an early-bird rate as well.

Hi everyone!
To recap: The event is Saturday, June 10th.
Monday, March 13th, registration opens.
The event will be strictly limited to 30 drivers.
The rate from March 13th to May 13th (Sanair!!!) will be 165$ and after that date it will be 180$, so register early.
Lunch will be provided.
Don't hesitate to contact me for any info that you need.

See you all there!!!

Are beginner-intermediate drivers allowed in this one? Is an signed car inspection and a helmet still required?

Karin,

I believe you meant June at Mecaglisse, and not Sanair

Yes, any driver is welcome.
And yes, you do need a helmet and need to get your car inspected.

Yup. As most events, novices, intermediate and advanced drivers are welcome, with their helmet and inspected car. The only exception in the past 7 years was SpringFling II which was an advanced/solo drivers-only.

I actually meant Sanair - people who participate at Sanair can pay the Saturday there and still get the early bird special.

Sorry for the confusion:o

Yup. Or borrowed e30s with stiff suspension and 10 year old snow tires with hard rubber.

Hey Emre. Chances are pretty high that I will fly to China, India, Australia, Germany and Holland to supervise a photoshoot. All April. Cross my fingers.
