Hi guys, feeling a bit of vibration on my brakes, so I'm wondering if I should change em up. I have the Dinan front big brake kit with 2-piece rotor, so I should be able to change just the rotor itself (and keep the hat). Any ideas where I should look? Also, for track pads, I think the Dinan caliper is a re-badged Brembo GT caliper, with Dinan-specific pad. I'm looking for a performance friction pad, just for the track. Any recommendations?

thanks!

Are you sure that Dinan caliper is a special pad?

Look up the FMSI number for the pad and you can find if it's really a more general purpose pad.

Anyone who sell Brembo BBK should be able to sell you rotors with no hat. Make sure to get the mounting hardware (little bolts and such) and don't reuse the old hardware.

Ya the pad is a special compound, but same shape as other brembo GT pads...

Anyone sell ductile iron rotors for this thing?

"Special" compound is nonsense. Get a real compound depending on the intended use.

I would imagine that the calipers being Brembo allow for easy pad swaps without removal of caliper.

I would call Luc at Total Race Supply (http://www.totalracesupply.com/) in Cornwall, Ontario: (613) 938-6027. He was able to get me some Coleman (http://www.colemanracing.com/) rotors to fit the custom 2-piece rotors I had on my old Evo VIII. He knows Brembo stuff.

You can also try Lee from Massive Brakes (http://www.massivebrakes.com/) to see if he might be able to help. Lee doesn't normally deal with Brembo calipers and rotors, but it might be worth a try.
