Hello,
Please advise on which aftermark brake pads should I buy for an 08 E92 M3 Coupe for track usage only. I intend to change pads every time I go on the track (planning to go at 3 to 4 events this summer).
I have stock disks and intend to use them with street tires and potentially RA1 also on a dedicated set of wheels.
M3post.com members seem to be in love with Pagids RS19, any recommendations?
Thanks, Vincent

For Pagid call http://wetune.ca
Mike or Andy will hook you up but they will need to order that stuff.
They only stock pads for GT3's and Radicals :)

Laguna,
so you've tried the 06? Is it more even more durable than the 01?

No, just read a review by James Clay (one of the Bimmerworld drivers). He said they have slightly less torque and bite than the PFC01, but more longevity. I think the PFC01 are fantastic pads with more than enough torque and bite. I'd give up a little of those for more longevity. My favorite pads of all time were Cobalt Friction SpecVRs. They had slightly less bite and torque than the PFC01, but less longevity, too. Unfortunately, they don't make those pads anymore. Maybe the PFC06 will be my new fav.

Performance Friction is the way to go on BMW's but they do not have a pad for the E92 M3 yet!!! in any compound, I got a few set on pre-order. So for now if you are stuck and need to get to the track pagid is the second best for your application.

It does depend on the tire. PFC01s are hard to use with street tires but not too much bite or torque at all with slicks. Don't go crazy if you are going to be on street tires.
Also, this isn't a marriage. Even PFC01s only last a few weekends.

I just read the manual for the E90 M3.
It states that factory installed brake pads are not suitable for track use and other pads need to be fitted.
The also recommend training before coming to the track with the car and warn that things will wear out faster. No warnings about canceling the warranty but only that scheduled maintenance may not cover prematurely worn stuff.
Pretty cool on their part to at least acknowledge the possibility of track use.
And the welcome pack from BMW Canada has a page explaining the existence of the BMW Club of Canada and gives urls of all the chapters including ours. Also there is a picture of the control tower at LCMT with a bunch of BMWs in front of it. I like that.

The manual didn't warn of hitting light speed, I guess you kinda know you did when everything is a blur around you :)
