Hi all,
just picked up an e39 m5 (my dream car) for a fairly low price, only catch - engine misfires @ low-mid RPM once engine is warmed up (no problems with cold engine). Also, sometimes when going to a stop with transmission in neutral, the engine will die. I drove it all the way back from toronto, at 4000RPM in 4th gear so the engine couldn't drop into Limp-Home mode.
I just ordered a peake reader but it will take 7-8 days to ship from the USA, anybody got one here, even better if you can help me use it??
Kinda stupidly, thinking it was definately a coil problem, I ordered some new coils (Bav Autosport), installed them on Saturday but still have exactly the same problem.
So there a few possible culprits:
MAFs (but I dunno since idle is fine and high RPM is fine).
dirty air filters (maybe!)
bad CPS
bas TPS
bad fuel pump
anybody every experience this?
I'll probably drive the car over to bimmershop but their website is all blank now - have they shut down? Any other BMW garages that aren't at 'stealership' prices?
any help is appreciated, if we fix the problem you can take it for a spin ;)
thanks
