I want to install an Ipod integration kit in my 2006 X3 and I'm looking for advice.

Should I go with the BMW OEM Kit ($$$) or an aftermarket unit like Dice ($) ?

http://www.diceelectronics.com/Merchant/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=DETEST01&Product_Code=i-BMW-T&Category_Code=DICE_IPOD_BMW

Also, any Dice resellers in the Montreal area ???

Thanks,
Fred

Have you found any resellers?

I have tried both the OEM kit and the Dension kit.

Dension is now rarely available. They have been reverse engineered by the original importer to create the DICE kits.

The nice thing about the aftermarket kits is that they can offer text display and full iPod integration instead of the Playlist approach used by OEM kits.

Installation is a breeze if you get the kit that hooks up to the trunk CD changer cable. Else, you have to take the dash apart to get the radio out.
My recommendation is to use the aftermarket kit with trunk hookup and leave the iPod in the trunk.

You can get the units from many places and have the shipped with USPS to your home.
