that test was interesting but biased towards street use (tread wear, comfort and noise were factored into the results)

grassroots motorsports did a similar test a few months ago but ONLY comparing lap times around a course and subjective evaluation of handling characterisitcs.

the Falken Azenis RT-615 came out WELL ahead of all the others and the advan neova 07 (which scored highly for grip in the C&D test) finished far, far back

notice that, except for the Toyo T1R, C&D only tested tires sold by the Tire Rack

and BMW specifies really strange tire pressures for the new 3-series! 29-psi front and 35-psi rear

I find it strange that they would test the best handling tire model from each company's offerings except when it came to Bridgestone. Price notwithstanding, if there is some truth to Tire Rack's ratings, the S-03 should be a better overall performer than the RE-50A

very true, I remember that review very clearly

the C&D review is funny as in a few tire reviews they themselves don't understand how some tires placed so high or so low, lol..
.
It's extremely silly how they awarded points. ... a cheap all season tire would probably have placed in the top of the grid.
