OK. That first one made me seasick in a record 15 seconds. I stopped before I ruined my keyboard.

some suspicious-looking smoke coming out of the rear in the second one... what a sound though.

didn't look like tire smoke though, it was in the center a bit to one side, and only when he stepped on the gas. clutch?

Don't know. Maybe it was just excess moisture being pushed out of the system

Something to put in an e30m3 when the s14 gives up the ghost:

an LS7 (Z06) motor is 13k so I am expecting the LS9 to sell for around 16k

While GM makes no money on cars the crate motors they do sell make a good amount of profit.
Actually if you want to save cash on that E30 M3 swap you can get this

one hell of a garage...
Looks so damn nice!Definitely a hot car. But I'm not feeling the chrome wheels at all.
Why do US car manufacturers love chrome so much? Does anyone actually want chrome wheels on a Corvette or Mustang? What gives?

Maybe without the supercharger & intercooler. I bet these add few K more. $18 maybe. We'll see. I'll be waiting for you to tell me you told me so.
I've been looking into formula first cars because they will actually fit through a 38" doorway which means I could get one into my loft if my loft ever happens (waiting more than 18mo for the building permit). So, I'd have a table in the middle of the living room with a formula first car in recovery sitting on top.
This engine would be a nice pick me up for a formula first car. You might have a little trouble with the scrutineers, but hey, maybe no one would notice!

So they did the annual Nardo test. ZR-1 did a top speed of around 206-207MPH.. It was also the cheapest car at the test. Too bad GM needs to meet fuel economy ratings because the car could have went faster if it wasn't for such long gears.
Whats even more impressive is SL65 AMG PT hit 216MPH

+1
And why the heck did they put a see through glass to see the top of the I/C? This is so tacky/cheesy, I don't know where to start.
Look wise, it looks like any C6 to me. Not a bad thing. But nothing to drool over.
I love the performance though. Time to grow chest hair and a mullet.

These cars are so powerful that for normal people like us the only way to max them out is in a drag race. There is no way I'd drive the doors off a ZR1. The only car in that video that you can push is the GTR because almost anyone can look like a hero in it.
