View Full Version : Fall Classic at TremblantSept 19-21
The big race weekend is happening right now and it looks like weather conditions will be perfect.
The paddock is full of race cars and trailers; its hard to tell now what impact the lack of FSAQ sanction will have.
I'm racing in Vintage B and am paddocked at the Namerow end.
Great weekend for a drive to Tremblant, to watch lots of racing, and to cheer on some BMWs.

Thanks, John.
Friday practice sessions were great and the weather is perfect. Ahhhh.
Its fun to run with a range of different cars. Some are rockets in the straights and bog slow in the corners. Others have different turn in characteristics, etc.
Less fun is the variability in driver talent. You have to be on your toes to pass and keep room around the car.
Driver talent in BMW Club Racing is higher and that increases the fun and safety factors.

Where do visitors park? At the other entrance?

Yeah. P1 is reserved for racers. I think there isan entrance fee for spectators. Check the website.
Races start around 1:00 on Saturday and are continuous thereafter.

best spectator spot (IMO) is on the hill right next to bridge turn. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on.
from there you can see the cars come out of 5, take 6, go into 7a ... then reappear over the crest (turn 9), and take turn 10 and bridge. If there's some close action you can even run a few feet and see them take namerow ...
Mike Kenny drove a fantastic race in the GT Challenge and finished in front of Lawrence Stroll who was driving a full race prepared McLaren.
Unbelievable. Way to go Mike!
Mr. Stroll helicoptered back to Montreal following the race.
I finished 7 in Vintage B (mid pack) and 13 out of about 30 in the Enduro. My first time running with the FSAQ guys and thankfully it was both clean and fun.
More racing on Sunday. And more nice weather too.

Mike's best lap was a 137.2. It was the fastest time of any competitor all weekend including those racing Formula 2000.
Lee Voung was not there, however.

Yikes! 1:37.2! Why in such a hurry? Enjoy the foliage. Sniff the flowers.
The track must look completely different at that speed. Wow.
