:BMW:

They are not accepting BMWCCA Competition Licenses, which is unfortunate (for me at least).

Isn't the BMWCCA license recognized by SCCA? Viewing at how much more involved is the BMWCCA Club Racing race school compared to ASN's, I guess that the ASN guys should do their homeworks and look what's being done around them.

Lee,

I believe you are correct on the SCCA acceptance....

Hey Paul.

If you are still interested in racing at that event, I highly suggest you go back and register. I know two BMWCCA Club Racers in Montreal who already registered. I talked to them last night about that SCCA/ASN/BMWCCA-CR license issue and they were told nothing about their BMWCCA CR license...

It will not be difficult for you to gather a small crew of 4 and a co-driver. Remember though that to fuel the car, the crew member must wear a helmet and three layers of Nomex while another crew with long cotton sleeves holds an extinguisher. If you need me for help, don't hesitate to ask.

Lee,

Thanks for that but it's a bit too late for me. Are you sure they don't have ASN/FSAQ licences? The person I was going to co-drive with from the Montreal area has and was told it was mandatory, so my potential ride went to someone who did (plus, the other driver is more experienced!). I don;t have my own racecar at this point, which is a challenge. Anyways, thanks for the suggestion and offer for crewing.

Regards,

Paul
