Bonjour aux amateurs Audi et aux amis,
Nous vous invitons à la deuxième école de conduite haute performance Audi au Calabogie Motorsports Park, en Ontario, les 28 et 29 juin prochains. En addition à l'école de deux jours, le vendredi, 27 juin, est réservée aux instructeurs.
L'école est organisée par le Audi Club Canada Est (ACCE) avec l'aide du NEQ et du Club BMW du Québec. L'évènement 2007 fut une première pour le Club Audi au Circuit de Calabogie. 39 instructeurs chevronnés venant de clubs de l'est du Canada ainsi que des États-Unis ont assuré le succès de l'école. Les participants ont vécu une expérience sportive et enrichissante. Nous vous invitons à participer cette année! Les services à la piste sont encore meilleurs, il y a une plus grande sélection d'accommodations et vous profiterez de l'expérience acquise en 2007. Comme toujours, le banquet du samedi soir vous permet de relaxer en compagnie d'autres enthousiastes et de nouveaux amis.
Les frais de participation pour étudiants sont :

Candidats instructeurs (école de deux jours) $275.00
Instructeurs et candidats instructeurs, vendredi $275.00

This newsletter is your invitation to join us at the second Calabogie two day High Performance Driving School on June 28 - 29, with an additional track day for instructors and instructor candidates on June 27.
Canada Day Celebration is organized by the Audi Club Canada East (ACCE) and assisted by NEQ and the BMW Club of Quebec. Last year's Canada Day Celebration was the inaugural event for the Audi Club Canada East at Calabogie Motorsports Park. Thirty-nine expert driving instructors, from auto clubs in eastern Canada and United States helped make this school a rewarding experience for all participants. Welcome back! This year, promises to be even better, with improvements in facilities at the track, a greater selection of accommodations in the Calabogie region and most important being able to draw on last year's experience. As is customary for Audi Schools, the banquet, on Saturday evening is a great venue to meet other driving enthusiasts and re-kindle old friendships.

Who else will be helping me celebrate canada day? This event should be my first in the new car. (full cage. who cares if the door falls off (see recent mini thread if this is cryptic)). FWIW, the car is still in the "just about done" stage. Soon. Soon.

I'm hoping to take it to a skills day 6/14. Ironically, it will be a minis only day, but hey, I won't be a student. A little sad though, I -think- I was just on the verge of being able to hold the rear end out in the mini. Only steer with the throttle and -either-: gas/brake/gas/brake or burn-rubber/off/burn-rubber/off. Somehow you have to keep feeding in the power while keeping the car rotated.

Back on topic. I'll be there all 3 days. I hope to see many of you!

I will be there with David and the new car, but not for friday.

Michel will have the e30 M3 for the first time this summer.

We will be at the Calabogie Lodge for the week-end.

And we will bring the "Big Top" which is Hugo and David's new 10' x 20' canopy, plus my own 10' x 10' which means we will be "covered". Sofas and jacuzzi not included :D
