Posting information from Howard at Talon Tires
As promised, here’s an update on Toyo’s competition tires and our sponsorship of your club.
The R888 has been released in Canada. It will have 2/32” less tread depth than the RA-1 (6/32 vs. 8/32) but the tread compound (hard) will be similar: durable, long wearing. It will replace the RA-1, which will be liquidated while supplies last.
Please note: All R888’s sold in Canada will be stamped with a logo that identifies it specifically as a Toyo Canada tire. Only tires with this stamp will qualify in various “Spec Series” in Canada.
Your club’s current discount is 35%, but if BMWCC-Quebec members would like to buy Toyo’s at Code 1 (list-40%) then please send a list of active members along with their membership# to: James de Chavez <jdechavez@toyocanada.com>.
He has confirmed to me that he’s willing to do so for clubs that we sponsor. (Toyo needs a list of members merely to ensure that the submissions for the R-group status of Code are being made by active members of car clubs approved by Toyo. They need only the name and member #( no personal info) as a cross reference.)
Please contact me if you have any other questions about these or any other topics related to our sponsorship or our products.
Regards,
Howard
