Lee, can you explain the slots on the rotors?
I keep reading plain discs are they way to go, as opposed to slotted or cross-drilled rotors.
Besides, those on the discs you show are in a kind of random pattern.
What are the reasons behind this?

My guess is they're designed that way to have a better effect on pad wear.
But I'm probably way off.

Either way, works of art *tu*

I myself usually prefer plain rotors. Would never use drilled ones. Slots are okay as long as there are not too many as they literally grate the pads. The purpose of slots used to be to evacuate gazes from organic pads, 20 years ago. Now they mostly are used to keep the pads from glazing if working at an inappropriate temp. As you can see the rotors only have 6 slots and they are in two patterns, probably to avoid create harmonics. BTW the rotor is installed reversed on the pictures. My mistake.

e46M3 front kit. Who needs StopTech or Brembo at that price?
