If you are looking for improved braking, try the Hawk Performance Pads.

The HPS are aggressive street-oriented pads, well-suited for everyday use as well as occasional track use. They don't make much noise or dust yet offer great braking.

For more hardcore pads, go for the HP+. It is a track-oriented dual use street pad. High resistance to fade and high temperatures, yet still has good bite when cold. The HP+ has a tendency to squeal and creates more dust. It is also harsher on rotors.

I've run both the HPS and HP+ on the street in my Evo. I was happy with both of them. The HP+ even held up to a couple of days at Sanair when I was too unmotivated/lazy to swap on race pads. I was actually surprised at how well they did. No glazing or anything.

BTW, I also ran my HPS street pads at Tremblant: I ran out of Carbotech XP-9's on Day 1; then realized my replacements were back in Boston! So, I swapped my street pads back on to finish the weekend. I got black flagged towards the end of the day. The reason? Black smoke and flames from the wheel arches. The pads were literally on fire :D

street pads + 3200lbs. sedan + close to 400 HP = idiocy on my part

Anyway, the pads were still stopping pretty well. They were just a little hot :o
