Hi Rod

The e28 and e30 diffs are the same. Only the rear covers are different and can be swapped. Maybe it'll help.

I should have clarified

I'm actually looking for the E28 setup to put in my E30. I'm doing an M30 swap on my convertible and I need a different diff to assist with the extra torque.

Diffs from e23, e24, and e28 can be used apparently. As you noted you just need to swap the cover and output flanges.

I'm looking for an 3.46 lsd.
