Ladies & gentlemen,

The BMW Car Club of Ottawa will be hosting the Fall Boogie Advanced Driving School at Calabogie Motorsports Park on Saturday & Sunday , the weekend of October 13 & 14 2007. There will be four sessions per run group per day, so you will get plenty of track time, to learn this 24 turn rollercoaster. If you have not driven Calabogie yet, see if you can fit it into your schedule, before we have to start thinking about winter. Space is available and registration is OPEN at: http://bmwccottawa.org/bmwccottawa/schools/schools.htm (http://bmwccottawa.org/bmwccottawa/schools/schools.htm)

I have had some "inside information" that there are big chances that instead of the usual 4 sessions/day format, Fall Boogie 2007 will offer no less than FIVE sessions on Saturday, and SIX sessions on Sunday. Those of you who haven't had their quota at the Audi event, now is the time to get even. And more. I will let Bennett Leckie, chief-instructor, confirm this information.

Next event will be after snow melts in 2008. So, if you are a track addict, it's a NO BRAINER. Register NOW to Fall Boogie.

Roy Hopkins and Adrienne Hughes, overall winners of this year's Targa Newfoundland in their 1969 BMW 2002 (named Woodstock) will attend that event. I will drive my own 02 to Calabogie, all loaded. We will celebrate the end of the track season in style.

Still time to register.

Every BMW CQ track junkie should feel totally guilty for missing a great two days at Calabogie. Tons and tons of time on this wonderful track.

Thank you, Ottawa Chapter. See you next spring.

Phil

What a great event. That was an "all-you-can drive" event as promised. Barely enough time to check tire pressure and oil before going back on track. Wet on Saturday and dry on Sunday. Perfect combination.

From our chapter, only Dr Phil and myself, showed up. But Allan and Wendy also attended (from ACNA/NEQ and BMWCQ btw). It is worth mentioning that they are the two persons I saw at every event of this summer. They did not miss a beat. They are the greatest enthusiasts I know.

Too bad for other track rats, as they missed another great event from the Ottawa club. The next season is already "under constructuion" and from what I understood from this forum, members would appreciate an event in June on a "big" track. What will it be? We don't know yet. But one thing is for sure, we need people to organize events...
