Hi guys,

Just saw this article on the evo magazine website:

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/evo/news/60598/bmws_cayman.html

Pretty cool! I like the styling. The original Z3-based M Coupe is pretty much my favorite modern BMW. Looks like the Z4-based coupe should be a stunner.

BTW, when the BMW CC directors met with the BMW Canada CEO over the summer, he "hinted" that there would be an "M" version of the Z4 coming soon. Now that the E90 M3 will use an all-new V8 powerplant, they have to stick the old S54 engine somewhere. And the M Roadster will be the place! He said power would be up in the 340-350 hp range.

I imagine a Z4-based M Coupe is in the works. That should give the Porsche Cayman S a run for it's money!

Still find the front "fishy"... but it's a huge improvement over the roadster

If it could be ~2800lbs with around 340hp... I'd pick one in a heartbeat :)

the Z4 3.0i is at ~3000lbs and 225 hp... so hopes are good

Look into the wheel Emre, let the hypnotic design take over your mind ... your eyes are getting sleepy ... the wheels are telling you "buy this car Emre, place your order NOW"

You know you want the Z4 M Coupe ... let yourself fall to the dark side ... LOL

Also from that picture, looks like Pilot Sport Cups are standard?

wow they do look alike , but if you had choice whice one would you pick, a shelby cobra coupe (kit) or a bmw z3 roadster?I'm not a fan of roadsters in general, so the Z3-based M Roadster doesn't interest me in the least. But I do like the Z3-based M Coupe.

I like the styling of the Z4 roadster and, based on what I've heard, it's a terrific handling car (but I have no 1st hand experience). They compared the Z4 roadster to the Boxster on Fifth Gear and Tiff seemed to LOVE the handling of the Bimmer. So, I can only imagine how much fun a 340+ hp Z4-based M Coupe would be!

The Shelby Daytona Coupe replica by Superformance seems like an amazing car. But I don't think I'd be comfortable in a fiberglass-bodied kit car on the track. Anyway, the cost is outrageous!

what the hell happened to the nice big brakes of the first pics? Those were from the show car. These things never seem to make it to production with BMW.

I don't know why but it makes me think a bit of a Puma GT.

Much nicer than the roadster.
