registration is open for just a few more days. there are openings now.
somewhere it says something about needing a catch tank. you don't need one if you have an expansion tank, which bmws have had since the 80s. If you don't know, I'm sure that Lee will.
Is there a Mount Akina hillclimb? I hear that Greg and Andrei are interested.

I'll have to see if the boys from Team Emperor are there.

All joking aside, this sounds like a fun event. Will you be there, John?

Obviously I need to decide soon. My airplane from california arrives in boston at 10:50pm. If my car was ready to go, I could be within an hour of mt washington by 2am, asleep by 2:30am. Up at 6am. Out the door at 6:20am. At tech around 7:30am.
Sounds a little intense now that I work it out. I hadn't realized how far noth mt washington is: 3hrs 36min from boston. And, I'm flying back to california monday afternoon.
I think I'm not. I want to, but the business trips would make this just a little intense. It is very tempting.
Mt Washington is only 4 hours from Montreal. It is actually closer to montreal than providence.

I need to paint the lower part of the M3 black and it's ready to go.
I need to paint the lower part of the M3 black and it's ready to go.I think I'm getting pretty close, actually:

Just need to extend the black paint on the rocker panels up to the side moldings and add some kanji gibberish.

The road up Mount Washington is treacherous and scary. Much of the (outside) of the road is only lined with spaced-out pieces of rocks the size of cantaloupes. I get scared sh.tl.ss just inching up the road at a snail's pace in the car. And as you get near the top, it gets extremely windy.

Not quite. Once you get past the tree line on the way up, the view is breathtaking, and there are some parts of the road where once past the outer edge, the drop is almost vertical (like a few hundred feet down or more). Maybe that is why the upcoming climb is restricted to the lower half of mountain only (where that section is much more forgiving).
