Hi everyone,
Please note that our 2005 driving events calendar is now on-line! We will be hosting four track events, and ALL of them will take place on weekends (yes...even Tremblant!). Here are the details:
"Spring Fling" will take place at Sanair Motorsports Complex in Ste-Pie, Quebec. This event is geared towards advanced drivers, instructors, and racers (both club and vintage). The focus is on dusting out the cobwebs after a long winter, car set-up, and practicing advanced skills. Additionally, this event will form part of our instructor training series. Spaces are strictly limited.
Prospective applicants are asked to contact event Co-Chair, Lee Vuong (l.vuong@sympatico.ca), prior to registration. Lee will forward registration details to accepted participants.
Prospective instructors and instructor candidates are asked to contact Chief Instructor, Cherif Gress (cgress@bmwquebec.ca).
"Summer Drift 2005" will take place at the Mecaglisse Quebec facility in Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci, Quebec. Last year, we hosted our first event at this devilish circuit. Appearing deceptively simple at first glance, the track proved to be highly challenging and technical. Mecaglisse rewards a "fast and loose" driving style, which is a delight to drivers and spectators alike.
Last year's event proved to be so popular with students and instructors that we couldn't resist adding it to our calendar again this season. Rungroup sizes will be kept VERY small (10 car maximum), so registration will be severly limited. Act fast if you'd like to take part in the fun!
Registration will be managed by event Chair, Karin Orsovy (redridinghood101@yahoo.com). Registration will open soon...keep an eye on this page for opening dates!
Prospective instructors are asked to contact Chief Instructor, Cherif Gress (cgress@bmwquebec.ca).
"Bimmers Across the Border 7" will take place at the historic Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant in Ste-Jovite, Quebec. The BMW Club of Quebec is proud to co-host the seventh annual running of this classic event with our friends from the BMW CCA--Boston Chapter.
Like all BAB events in the past, this year's BAB-7 will combine a high performance driving school with a BMW CCA Club Race. Hundreds of BMW drivers, racers, and fans will descend on the picturesque Laurentian mountains for a full weekend of driving and exciting wheel-to-wheel racing. Don't miss out!
Registration will be managed by Boston Chapter Registrar, Denis Friedman (friedman@boston-bmwcca.org). Registration will open soon...keep an eye on this page for opening dates!
"Calabogie 2005" will take place at the all-new, 5km long Calabogie Motorsports Park in Calabogie, Ontario. We will be co-hosting this event with our good friends from the BMW Club of Ottawa. This brand-new facility was designed by the legendary Alan Wilson with the express purpose of hosting driving schools and club racing. There are a wide variety of corners and significant elevation changes...so our Tremblant loyalists should feel right at home! The circuit promises to be safe, exciting, and challenging.
Registration will be managed by BMW Club of Ottawa Vice President, Hagen Hohn (hagen_hohn@mitel.com). Registration will open soon...keep an eye on this page for opening dates!
