Bonjour! (english below)
Salutations amicales!

Hi!
I just bought a 318is E30/M42 1991.
I still own an unplated fully equipped but very rusty 525i 1989 E34/M20 that I've bought in 1997 but that I am taking apart and selling piecewise for parts to finance some cool upgrades on my E30.
I was a member of BMWCCA in 1998 and also did a driving school at Mt-Tremblant in '98.
Cheers !

It's a fun little car. Will you join us at our driving schools this season? There are a couple of spots still available for BAB7 at Tremblant in August.

But most of us are either bilingual or understand French to a greater or lesser extent. Post in whichever language you're most comfortable with.

I would love to, but I don't have the budget right now. The car requires too much work anyway. Body is fine, but the mechanicals require work.
Torsion bar links are shot, and I haven't inspected the rear suspension fully yet (my mechanic is gone on vacation for the "construction" period) and I don't ahve a lift in my driveway. Heck, I don't even have a garage, only an open driveway. I need to replace the fuel tank that is leaking (even if recently installed), I need to replace the injectors (most likely).
Regards
JFA

If you need swaybars, mounts, and/or links...I have a complete set of front & rear swaybars with all associated hardware. These are the stock swaybars from my 318is. You can have them if you need them. Just stop by and pick them up anytime.

Thanks. Sure! Please send me your contact info.
If you need E34/M20 parts, I have a few :-)
The E30 318is car did not run for a few months before I bought it and a lot of loose parts are now becoming apparent.
I'm also looking for (E30/M42) :
- a limited slip differential
- a driver's seat (preferably comfortable rather than sporty)
- a muffler (the less noisy the better, an OEM be perfect)
- a gaz tank
- O2 sensor (can I use my E34/M20 unit and splice-in the connector?)
- (maybe) injectors
- heater blower impellers
- rear brake disks and pads (they're all grooved and I think I have a stuck caliper)
- there is also some loose in the steering which I have not yet investigated (I'll probably do it next week).
- 1/2" drive 250 ft-lb torque wrench
I planned to buy most of that brand new, but used parts might be cool too!
As I said, I have a lot of E34/M20 parts to trade. :-)
