I wish...
this year I fucked up, I didn't plan correctly and now I can't fit anything in mysummer schedule...
Next year I will make a list of every singe driving school there is in a 500km radius and program to do as much as I can! Every single one of them if possible!

Anyway, don`t feel too bad about it. These are not great events for novice students. They`re run essentially like lapping days and you get no classroom instruction and minimal in-car instruction. It can be a little dangerous if you don`t know what you`re doing.

Emre, do you know if they accept students that don't own a Porsche?
I've been told by one of our club member who owns BMWs and Porsches that they were not accepting BMW/Audi etc owners anymore (exept for those who where already members) because they have too many students etc etc.
I emailed the person responsible of these events, from a link on their web site to ask if they were accepting BMW owners for driving events, but never got an answer...
Montreal region's Rennsport PCA is pretty "exclusive", not to say snobish, and will only accept Porsches and Ferraris. North Eastern Region (NER) Porsche will welcome other makes of cars, as long as the owner has a current membership from a recognized club such as the BMW Club of Canada, or America. Emre is right to mention that those NER PCA events are great for advanced drivers, but close to dangerous for novices or intermediate as there is no instruction to speak of.
The reason mentionned (too many attendants) by Rennsport is not 100% true. We even had a demonstration a few years ago, when Marc-André Robitaille (one of the Quebec chapter instructors) was doing circles around Porsches at an NER event. And he was "only" driving a bone stock Honda Prelude. The Porsche driver was almost in tears, being passed and out driven by a "lowly" japanese car. So, if you can picture a talentlessly driven $150K car being continuously passed by a talently driven $15k car, then you now understand why some Porsche clubs want to be exclusive. There is a huge pausing factor within the Porsche club, where some (not all) of the drivers think that talent and technique was included when they bought their Porschahhh... Big numbers on the doors, full Nomex suits, being driven by novices...
We still do very much enjoy driving with the different Porsche clubs as our events are based on the same rules. Be safe, have fun, learn.
Another club that does events at Tremblant is COMSCC (Corvette Owners of Massachusset Sport Car Club). Unlike what the name seems to imply, there are only a few Corvettes. They are an SCCA-type of lapping (I did not say driving school) club. They are extremely fun to be with, but then again, not for novices. On the second day, they usually have a Time Trial, or Solo 1, competition. COMSCC will be at Le Circuit Mt-Tremblant in the first week of August.
As you guys (and ladies) can see, the BMW Club sees no problem exposing its members to other clubs. It is all about trying different ways to learn driving in different conditions. We are very confident that the BMW Club's training structure is very safe, fun, and instructive.

Emre, do you know if they accept students that don't own a Porsche? Our local PCA Chapter is the Rennsport Region. They do NOt accept non-Porsches...unless it's a Ferrari. Ferrari drivers are even slower than Porsche drivers, so they pose no threat to the ego ;)
However, there are MANY other PCA Chapters that welcome BMW CCA and BMW CC members to attend. The Northeast Region (NER) and Connecticut Valley Region (CVR) both do events at Tremblant and they both allow non-Porsches. At todayss event, for example, there were several STi's, a couple of 350Z's, a bunch of Audis, and lots of BMW's. NER is pretty open about that.
I've been told by one of our club member who owns BMWs and Porsches that they were not accepting BMW/Audi etc owners anymore (exept for those who where already members) because they have too many students etc etc. That's only true for the Rennsport Region. Their Tremblant events fill VERY quickly, so they're not motivated to be inclusive. In contrast, NER and CVR are undersubscribed to the point where the chapters are losing money at Tremblant. I'm sure they would be very happy if some BMW Club of Quebec members signed up.
I emailed the person responsible of these events, from a link on their web site to ask if they were accepting BMW owners for driving events, but never got an answer...The whole driving events commitee at NER is pretty new and they're still learning. Give them time!
