Another one-day event?

Du 2 juillet (Mécaglisse) au 13/14 août (BAB7), il y a un gros trou. Si on faisait une autre école d'une journée à Sanair, pourrait-on inscrire 25 élèves?

Toujours le même format, comme SummerDrift à Mécaglisse. Qui serait partant? Sanair est à seulement 45 minutes de Montréal.

Lee, any news on this? After explaining what it's all about to a certain number of friends, I think we might have a few prospective members.. Most of them wanted to get in next year and start at a small track like Mecaglisse.. I might be able to get a few of them to register and start this year...

That's of course if this is an actual school (not a lapping day..)

Hi guys.

We're definitely going to do this, but our "core group" of volunteers (i.e., Lee, Karin, and myself) are very busy with other things. If anyone wants to step in to help organize the event, we would welcome your help!

For the record, this will be a proper driving school and not just a lapping day. So novices would be welcome. We'd also like to integrate a show-n-shine into the event as Sanair is a great veniue for that kind of thing.

Those dates were not approved by some of the directors, so I gave up on organizing that next event. August 27th/28th is to late for my schedule. The other directors are now free to pitch in at whatever date they want...

Not any member can organize a driver school as the stakes are too high, and if the chief instructor can't get instructors for a given date, then it becomes problematic.

with the calabogie no-go, it leaves a whole lot of space empty. Mecaglisse was so top notch I'd really love at least another event by bmwquebec club.

For those of you who want to challange those damn little orange cones, CADL is organising an autoslalom event with MCO at PMG on Sunday July 31. It will be a parallel type of course (2 asymetric courses side by side with a christmas tree starting light). You guys are welcome. Here's some infos.

Après trois manches chaudement disputées, le championnat d'autoslalom du CADL se déplace à PMG pour le quatrième événement qui aura lieu dimanche le 31 Juillet. Nous aurons une nouveauté car nous allons avoir deux parcours parallèles avec départs simultanés. Arrivez tôt pour les inscriptions car il va y avoir du monde.

Voici d'ailleur l'horaire de la journée:
7:15-8:30 inscriptions
8:15-9:00 inspection technique
9:30 meeting des pilotes
9:50 départ des voitures


Il y aura également un BBQ payant sur place pour ceux qui ne veulent pas emmener leurs lunchs.

Cependant, ce superbe site comporte certaines restrictions à respecter :

- Aucun véhicule ayant des pertes/coulisses d’huile ou autres liquides ne sera admis sur le site.
- Les personnes de moins de 18 ans ne sont pas admises.
- Aucun animal n’est toléré sur le site.
- Les entrées/sorties du site sont escortées et se feront sur demande. Aucune entrée/sortie sans supervision. Les visiteurs (euses) devront en tenir compte.
- Veuillez emmener une planche en bois pour mettre sous votre jack si vous avez des pneus à changer.

Ces restrictions seront appliquées de façon rigoureuse. Votre collaboration sera appréciée. Le prix d’inscription est de 50$ pour les membres et de 70$ pour les non-membres. Les indications routières se trouvent ci-bas.

Au plaisir de se revoir dimanche le 31 Juillet prochain à PMG!

-Prendre la sortie 25 (Blainville);
-Continuer jusqu’au bout du boulevard de la Seigneurie;
