This is a one time opportunity. With some friends from the race track we are purchasing a couple sets of DL1 data loggers. (see http://www.race-technology.com (http://www.race-technology.com/) )
A demo of the analysis software can be found here : http://www.race-technology.com/WebPage2/Products/Software/SoftwareDemonstrations.html (http://www.race-technology.com/WebPage2/Products/Software/SoftwareDemonstrations.html)
We are still missing one person to get the full discount Race Tech offers. We’re buying the equipment straight from them. Regular price is around 965$ (USD). Our price is around 750$ (USD) plus shipping (23% discount). Price may vary with the exchange rate.
This is a good price for a very useful tool. Expect your lap time to decrease dramatically when you learn exactly what is happening and WHY. :-)
The DL1 can be connected to the OBD2 socket of the ECU. Although only a generic software exist to read that data, we have someone here who works on ECUs (I work at Honda R&D) and can sort it out for us.
Anybody interested, let me know !
Alexandre
