Whenever you attend a BMW Club event, we will ask you to have your car inspected according to a very short list of specific points. Things such as checking if battery is tight, no MAJOR oil leak, brake pads thickness, and visual inspection of the pads thickness and steering component. Most of the times, it is even not necessary to remove the wheels. It is usually a 20 to 30 minute inspection (at max) that we have seen was done for around $30. We do that so that every drivers enjoy their event in a safe and reliable car.

You should beware with whom you are dealing with though. Some shop (such as R*R on Diab street) will charge a flat fee of $75. Which is double what other independent shops will charge. So just ask before you drop your car and make sure that you pay for what you get and vice-versa. I do not imply that R*R is not a good shop, but only that it is perhaps not the proper sedrvice that you need, and certainly at too high a price. Usually a falt fee will only benefit the shop, or they would not apply it...
