As noted, this is not a driving school but a lapping event. And it is not hosted by a BMW Club of Canada chapter.

I encourage all members to think carefully about the important difference between lapping events--no in-car instructor and on a new, demanding course--and schools including the impact on their insurance coverage.

And please also think about the strategic importance of supporting our Ottawa club members by registering for their inuaugual school at Calabogie.

Remember. You get what you pay for.

Phil

For my part, I feel good about it on every aspect. The dates were the problem for Oct-21-22. the week before make it possible for me so I am happy !!!!!!!!

Thanks Phil for reminding us that MCO's event is a lapping weekend and not a DE. Nonetheless, it should not ditter our experienced members to attend. MCO supports the BMW Clubs by co-hosting events with Ottawa chapter on a yearly basis. Their members attend Quebec chapter events. They also support our chapter by providing us with highly qualified instructors. Not everyone requires a DE format, and this MCO event is a very exciting offering for those seeking for a lapping event. $250 for an end-of-season is exactly the insentive I was looking for.

Club directors have said and agreed so many times that the best way to support our own chapter, is to better serve our members by providing them with as much info as possible, as long as the info is in the proper section, so that members know what is a BMW Club of Quebec event, and a non-BMW Club event. Which is why we expressely opened the "Non-BMW Club events section". For those other chapters' events, or for those MCO's events and even private events...

I registered for both days in the A group. I'm interested to share a room for friday and saturday, David will probably come with me, so 4 or 5 in a room should be ok.

This looks like perfect date for me. How can I make sure to run with the Performance B group ? Is there a contact we know over there ?
